COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Rural women and youth are key agents for community development. They play a catalytic and pivotal role towards achievement of transformational economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development. However, with limited access to credit, health care and education their capacity to transform society is greatly suppressed. These are further aggravated by climate change and the global food and economic crises. We believe that empowering them is essential, not only for the well-being of individuals, families and rural communities, but also for overall economic productivity, given their large presence in the agricultural workforce worldwide.

Our locally based sustainable agriculture solutions neatly fit into the general goals and purpose of community development. We build community capacity in low-income areas by creating jobs, developing a community ethos, building healthy communities, and connecting rural and urban areas.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

We capacitate the youth and capitalise their projects to mitigate migration from rural to urban migration by improving their standards of living.
